With its wonky, whitewashed walls, terracotta tiled floors and heavily beamed ceilings, Finca La Libélula oozes character and is typical of country homes in
La Alpujarra. The neutral décor is enhanced by a mix of quality furnishings while shuttered windows keep interiors cool during the warmer months. An excellent range of appliances includes Wi-Fi, iPod dock & CD/radio, UK Freeview TV and DVD, plus a well-stocked library of DVDs and books.

Single-storey accommodation and a well-designed layout make the house a superb choice for families. What was once the old stable is today the heart of the home, with a separate sitting room and an attractive, open-plan kitchen/diner featuring a wood-burning stove for winter evenings. On either side of the house are the bedrooms, four in total sleeping up to six – a master king-size (A/C) with en suite shower and a single on one wing; a double with garden patio doors and another single on the other side. All guestrooms have fans and beds are dressed with crisp white Egyptian bedding. The main family bathroom features a supersized,
double-ended bathtub and separate walk-in shower. And there's an extra WC opposite one of the single bedrooms.

Throughout the house, a number of patio doors lead out to a variety of stone terrces with comfy sitting and dining areas, one for each time of day – to catch the morning sun, watch the sun set, read a book, enjoy a meal and, of course, to soak up those magnificent mountain views!
